Admin Docking Station - USB, Ethernet, and HDMI

These white docking stations are considered our "admin" docking stations. The docking station has 2x USB ports, an ethernet (CAT5/6) port, and HDMI access. When a Securebook 6 is on an admin docking station (this white type), the Securebook is in a state similar to a standard laptop, with USB ports freely available to the user.
For this reason, we recommend these "admin" docking stations are used by administrators only, or by users only when they are closely monitored.
For student users, with the Securebook 6, we have a collection of "student" docking stations that provide more limited access to ports. Please see our student docking stations for docking stations that provide WiFi, Ethernet, or USB peripherals such as web cameras, printing, external keyboards, etc.
We recognize that for simplicity, some jurisdictions are fine using these "admin" docking stations in a monitored classroom environment or in certain select trusted locations. We do believe we have better alternatives for student use but understand the simplicity of deploying these docking stations as well.

Can the Securebook boot from the Securedock USB to install an OS? Also, are there any custom drivers provided by JTS for the Securebook or Securedock? Thank you
Yes, a Securebook is designed to boot from the Securedock USB to install an OS. Further, the SSD inside a Securebook is serial number matched to the CPU, so the only way to install an OS is via this method.
While we haven't tested with every version of every OS, we believe that to date, no additional outside drivers are needed for the Securedock USB or Securebook.
