Docking station for Securebook to add connectivity - 2.0x usb / ethernet / HDMI

Docking stations are usually purchased in quantities less than Securebooks. All Securebooks work with all docking stations.

Places you might want docking stations:

- each student desk if students will be online or connecting to Canvas / Moodle

- one per living unit / cottage for printing

- 6-8 in a facility of 40-200 users in an administrative building to reformat devices or manage devices in bulk

These docks do not have WiFi in them. If you plan to use WiFi in your facility, our WiFi docks provide WiFi inside them (and only WiFi).

By separating ports from the notebook and putting them in a docking station we can manage access to networks or USB ports.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Can the Securebook boot from the Securedock USB to install an OS? Also, are there any custom drivers provided by JTS for the Securebook or Securedock? Thank you

Yes, a Securebook is designed to boot from the Securedock USB to install an OS. Further, the SSD inside a Securebook is serial number matched to the CPU, so the only way to install an OS is via this method.

While we haven't tested with every version of every OS, we believe that to date, no additional outside drivers are needed for the Securedock USB or Securebook. On the WiFi Securedock, there is a driver package available in the technical notes: https://justicetechsolutions.com/collections/frontpage/products/securedock-with-wifi
